Inwood Hill Park sits on 176 acres of natural wood at the very top of Manhattan. It was grounds for the original inhabitants, the Lenape, who hunted, fished, sojourned, and lived in it's beauty. Many moons have passed, yet it still serves as a refugee for those who seek the natural world and a place of solace for all who visit. I have walked the many trails of this land for decades. It was at one time deeply familiar to me, while also being fresh and new. I intimately know the trees, animals and breath of this forest.

Forests are living, they communicate and protect each other. They are us. Once we understand this as humans, only then can we collectively heal ourselves and our earth. I took these pictures over many years in all seasons. I hope you enjoy their beauty as much as I have. I hope one day you will visit this forest, look up and get lost in it's healing awe.
